An authentic WWI-era Princess Mary box of brass. A stamped brass box, circa 1914, given as a thank you gift to all commissioned British troops at Christmas 1914 by HRH Princess Mary (daughter of King George V).
Originally filled with packets of tobacco or chocolate, the exterior features a cameo of Princess Mary surrounded by cartouches of Britain’s allies during the Great War of 1914-1918.
